About Me

I have been involved in the markets since my junior year of college at the University of San Diego where I graduated with a bachelors degree in business administration & finance.

After being born and living my early years in Maryland I have been moving around since. Living in Italy, Colorado, Florida, Texas and most recently San Diego, CA.

I am and always have been an independent trader who approaches the markets with capital preservation & asymmetrical risk management in the forefront of my mind. Learning long ago consistent success in this business is not about being right or having a high win rate but instead the size of our average losers compared to that of our winners.

Success comes from having a consistent rules-based approach and thorough understanding of ones edge. As a result there are times I am sitting in cash on the sidelines when the market environment is not providing opportunities conducive to my strategy. Preserving capital & awaiting the next round of high probability setups to put my cash to work.

I screen the markets first from a fundamental perspective, focusing on sector strength & looking for leading growth issues with the potential for significant price appreciation in the immediate or near future.

From there I manually screen all qualifying equities in search of low risk:high reward, high probability continuation setups within a larger pre-existing trend.

When I am not in front of the screens I can usually be found wandering whatever city I happen to be in with a good book. In addition to my passion for the capital markets I enjoy being in nature, hiking, photography, riding my motorcycle, playing guitar and traveling.

*I am currently studying for my series 65 to become a Registered Investment Advisor allowing me to manage clients accounts seamlessly via Interactive Brokers. For any additional information or questions you may have please contact me via email at   ZLucido@gmail.com
